What's new for 2015
The Ford Mustang has been completely redesigned for the year 2015.
Introduction
Ford Mustang 2015 marks 50th anniversary model 50. To celebrate, Ford has decided that there is no better way to honor the anniversary of this iconic American sporty than with putting something special under the hood. A 700-horsepower V8 engine, perhaps? A turbine jet, perhaps? Well, what about the four-cylinder engine? Yes, it's true: The completely redesigned 2015 Mustang can have with four-banger under the hood of the long, proud. But before You fire off angry e-mail or Tweet to Ford, you should know a few things. First: muscular V8 was still available, such as a V6. And the second: this four-cylinder EcoBoost turbocharged ones, and it is anything but weak, wheezing.
Mustang experts will know that this is not the first time the 2.3-liter turbo-4 has been offered in the original mustang cars. But unlike the best factory is forgotten in the late 1970s and early 1980s, this one packs a much larger repair and fuel efficiency is higher, not to mention the two strengths. In particular, these small power plants crank up to 310 hp and 320 pounds-feet of torque and still the price up to 26 mpg combined. A crisp 3.7-liter V6 again saw duty in the entry-level Mustang, while V8 fans can still enjoy the power and glory of the V8 5.0-liter GT models. Apart from the engine, one can choose either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic, the latter equipped with paddle shifters.
Under it, the Mustang lineup finally got independent rear suspension. True, the Mustang has got along quite well with the old-tech a solid rear axle design of the last few years. But this independent rear suspension brings enhancements are welcome to on-road demeanor Mustang, primarily for ride comfort and handling. Ford claimed more stable when Mustang 2015 braking and acceleration and drive are more appropriate, and even though we only have a limited time in the car so far, we have to wholeheartedly agree. Despite rumours that the new Mustang will be significantly less severe, though, it's even got a few pounds, anywhere from about 20 to 80 depending on the model.
The new Mustang styling is quite distinctive, and gives the car a more aggressive look. Although the side window design calls to mind a modern Aston Martin (certainly not a bad relationship), Classic Mustang styling cues abounded elsewhere, from tilting trapezoidal grille and larger headlights back to the roofline and three bar Fastback rear lights. Wheelbase and overall length similar to the car out, but the new sat about 1.5 inches lower, about 1.5 inches wider and has a 3-inch rear track wider. In the meantime, the cabin boasts high-quality materials, angled spaces and more sporty, smaller, leather wrapped steering wheel tilts and telescopes-eventually.
Our initial take is that the new Mustang drive particularly better, have better interiors and still look cool. But 2015 Mustang has, in accordance with tradition, the formidable competition from the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger. Like the Mustang, they both offer eye-catching styling, rear-wheel drive V8 power and thrilling. Chevy is a more direct competitor, given equal proportions and a small rear seat, while the larger Dodge offers rear seat adult-friendly. Their shopping this segment may also consider well-rounded Hyundai Genesis coupe. However, we recommend that you place your money on horse Ford, we think you'll be quite pleased with the trip.

Powertrains and performance
A 3.7-liter V6 engine with 300 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque is standard on the base Mustang. The EcoBoost turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine offers packaging machines 310 hp and 320 lb-ft. GT 5.0-liter V8 offers bragging 435 hp and 400 lb-ft. (note that their output for EcoBoost gasoline V8 and reflect using premium.) The engine can be paired to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
EPA fuel economy estimates stand at 26 mpg combined (22 city/31 Highway) for the EcoBoost with manual. With the automatic, EcoBoost numbers are 25 mpg combined (21 city/32 highway.) User level V6 21 mpg combined (17/28) while the combined level of the automatic version 22 (19/28). V8 manual produces 19 combined mpg estimate (15/25) while automatic is the same but with a 1 mpg better in the city.
Safety
Standard safety features for all 2015 Ford Mustang ABS disc brakes, including traction and stability control, rear view mirror camera, front seat side airbags, side curtain airbags (coupe only) and a driver's knee airbag. Ford's MyKey system standards (which allows the owner to limit the speed and audio volume level for young drivers) and, for manual transmission models, hill-start assist.
Optional on "Premium" trim level and standard on the Limited Edition of 50 years is the blind spot and cross-traffic alert system.
Interior design and special features
2015 interior Ford Mustang Mustang pays homage to the past with dual-dashboard-style veil while still offering all the latest modern comforts. Depending on the trim level, even high-end luxuries such as adaptive cruise control and heated and ventilated front seats can have. The quality of ingredients are generally increasing, and drivers of all sizes should be able to get more comfortable behind the wheel of the latest Mustang, as the wheel now features a telescoping in addition to tilt adjustment.
"Sync" voice activation system Ford greatly simplifies the operation of audio, phone and navigation systems. The MyFord Touch interface that is more controversial, however. There is a learning curve to get the most out of the system, and touch-screen operation It can be annoying at times. In General, we prefer a more easy to use touchscreen interface in the Dodge Challenger.
There are nuances that are wider in 2015, Mustang, thanks to less imposing new car dashboard and center console are more lean. Contoured grips the steering wheel and the size of the neater means it's better to use than the old-school wheels and a gentle elbow pad on the console adds convenience to the cockpit. Gauges are significantly easier to read than the previous setup, and they do not reflect on the inside of the windshield like that old. Outward visibility is better than Camaro or Challenger, although the rear roof pillar thick blocking everything above your shoulders. Fortunately, all of the Mustang comes with a backup camera as standard equipment, and a blind-spot monitoring system available.
Both coupe and convertible body styles can accommodate four adults, but rear passengers is likely to be narrow. If you regularly carry those around bigger in the back seat, the Challenger would be a better choice. Trunk coupe provides 13.5 cubic feet of cargo space, pretty generous for a sports coupe, while conversion offers cube 11.4. A standard split-folding rear seat expands cargo capacity on the coupe.
Driving impressions
Based on our initial drive from 2015 EcoBoost Mustang equipped with the optional performance package, the new Mustang is a significant step forward in terms of ride and handling.
Turbo-4 put forth quite smooth and impressive spreads busty field of power that gives the car a strong thrust around town.
Being 100 pounds lighter than the V8 over the front tire, front end it feels sprightly EcoBoost, changing the crackers into a corner with enthusiasm.
Body roll is well controlled, too, and a summer ' tyres cling on the sidewalk is tenacious.
A new independent rear suspension has been providing great improvements in fire Mustang how to handle asphalt, pavement is smooth or fraught with routines and bumps. The previous Mustang often jostling over broken pavement attitude have been replaced with soft, confident attitude.
The steering is precise and quick, although driving fans will likely want to feel more roads.
